ABSTRACT
One new subfamily, four genera and 10 species of Psychodidae are described from Burmese amber which significantly increases our knowledge about this group in the Cretaceous. Protopsychodinae n. subfam. probably represents oldest known ancestor modern Psychodinae includes three within two genera: Datzia setosa gen. et sp. n., bispina Mandalayia beumersorum Sycoracinae Phlebotominae represented by each studied material, Palaeoparasycorax globosus suppus Parasycorax simplex Phlebotomites aphoe Phlebotomus vetus respectively. Bruchomyiinae is Nemopalpus quadrispiculatus Furthermore, one genus an incertae sedis Bamara groehni described. The systematic positions taxa discussed.
