ABSTRACT
The aim of this study was to compare the occurrence instrumentation and obturation related endodontic procedural mishaps following use either, stainless steel hand or engine-driven rotary techniques. From a computerized hospital database, total 730 dental patient records who had received treatment by undergraduate students between August 2018 September 2020 were retrieved. inclusion criteria primary (non-surgical) on permanent teeth with complete radiographic records. Following record screening, final sample n = 475 included. Radiographic evaluated for both mishaps. data analysed using multiple logistic regression analysis (α 0.05).Engine-driven resulted in significant decrease overall 40% compared (Odds Ratio 0.59 [0.36-0.97], p 0.04). In particular, decreased ledge formation, perforation mishaps, minimal effect limitation zipping. The techniques may reduce incidence clinic.
