ABSTRACT
Sucrose phosphate synthase (SPS, EC 2.4.1.14) is a key enzyme that regulates sucrose biosynthesis in plants. SPS encoded by different gene families which display differential expression patterns and functional divergence. Genome-wide identification analyses of have been performed Arabidopsis, rice, sugarcane, but comprehensive analysis the family Litchi chinensis Sonn. has not yet reported. In current study, four ( LcSPS1 , LcSPS2 LcSPS3 LcSPS4 ) were isolated from litchi. The genomic organization indicated litchi genes very similar exon-intron structures. Phylogenetic tree showed - 4 grouped into A family, B C family). strongly expressed flowers, while most mature leaves. RT-qPCR results LcSPS differentially during aril development between cultivars with hexose/sucrose ratios. higher level was detected Wuheli, accumulates at mature. tissue- developmental stage-specific uncovered this study increase our understanding important roles played these fruits.
