ABSTRACT
Purpose: This study aimed to determine the validity and reliability of electronic Compassion Competence Scale (e-CCS).Methods: A cross-sectional, randomized, two-period crossover design was used. Nursing students from four South Korean universities were surveyed between June 2017 April 2018. The participants randomly assigned one three groups-paper/paper, electronic/electronic, paper/electronic or electronic/paper-and a test-retest procedure implemented. e-CCS evaluated using linear weighted kappa coefficients intraclass correlation (ICCs). Internal consistency verified ICCs. Pearson’s initial test retest scores all statistically significant. Results: newly developed found have good validity. We suggest that future research should increase sample heterogeneity by recruiting diverse age groups, nurses working in different nursing fields, multiple colleges. Conclusion: instrument will help differences level compassion competence devise interventions improve students. Further studies on enhancing among may rely use this format.
