Oncofertility Experience in Young Women with Breast Cancer

ABSTRACT
Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the oncofertility experiences of young women with breast cancer and elucidate their process coping.Methods: Employing a grounded theory approach, in-depth interviews were conducted 12 aged 27~37 who experienced fertility challenges. Data analysis was using constant comparative method.Results: The core category identified journey restore daily life inevitable damage fertility, three stages: crisis stage, restructuring recovery stage. causal conditions chemotherapy pregnancy planning. contextual anxiety about embryo or oocyte cryopreservation, need make decision quickly, expectations for natural pregnancy. central phenomenon in “choices an uncertain future.” action/interaction strategies included increasing immunity, weight control, having strong mind, finding knowledge related cancer. intervening support from health care providers family support. consequences early onset menopause “desperate pregnancy.”Conclusion: Nurses be interested decline play role understanding actively helping them.
