ABSTRACT
The application of biochar in agricultural ecosystems is emerging as a potential solution to mitigate nitrous oxide (N2O) emission. However, the impact on N2O emissions from cropland appears be variable among numerous studies and remains uncertain. Therefore, effects under oxygen conditions were comprehensively analyzed for countries similar Korea. In this study, dataset based 42 published papers was used quantify effect sizes soil emissions. As result meta-analysis, reduction 33.0 ± 15.0%, which significantly reduced by 28.1 2.0% aerobic 37.5 4.1% anaerobic (p < 0.001). meta-analysis related variables emission, it that input amount biochar, pyrolysis temperature, C/N, fertilizer had significant both conditions. found could through East Asia. response ratio greater conditions, but quantitatively This suggests will high such uplands.Response (a) crop types (b).
