Purpose -To provide a broader perspective on how the institutionalization of cooperation (in network) through work practices local actors can generate positive social impact and reduce vulnerability Design/methodology/approach -We analyzed experience many in Brazilian Amazon region, who cooperate extraction processing Brazil nuts, up to formation collaborative network.Interviews were conducted we became immersed field.In addition, used secondary documents Findings -The network around nuts unfolds over sequential phases throughout projects that help vulnerability.Originality/value discovered hierarchical relationship between types institutional carried out institutionalize highlighted some develop different conditions for establishment business networks.
