Infant mortality rate (IMR) is considered as one of the most sensitive indicators health status a community. figures in India are very high and two important causes which contributes maximum to IMR inadequate breastfeeding immunization. The major cause death among under five children neonatal sepsis, diarrhea pneumonia breast milk protective against all three diseases. Immunization along with reduces significant number infant maternal mortality. Disease like tetanus rampant our country it can be prevented by vaccination women during pregnancy. This study tries find out awareness attitude primigravida females regarding immunization.This facility based cross-sectional was conducted 186 who came hospital for delivery antenatal check-up March 2014 associated teaching hospitals Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, situated coastal South India. Approval obtained from Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) KMC (Manipal University), A pre tested, semi structured questionnaire used data collecting tool.Majority (n=163, 87.6%) were Hindus followed Muslims (n=16, 3.2%). Nearly half participants (n=92, 49.5%) 21-25 y age group, 54.8% not aware correct position baby feeding 10.8% (n=20) believed that immunization should stopped if showed side effects.Breastfeeding an effective way reducing child results many had lacunae knowledge adequate education given pregnant women.
