ABSTRACT
The aim of this study was to assess the relationship between intrarenal Doppler parameters and histopathologic changes shown on kidney biopsy in renal transplant dysfunction. We retrospectively reviewed records 113 patients (61 men 52 women; age range, 22-76 years; mean ± SD, 50.9 12.7 years) who underwent both transplanted sonography from May 1, 2007, 31, 2009. interlobar arteries, including peak systolic velocity (PSV), end-diastolic (EDV), resistive index (RI), were compared with findings. According findings, divided into two groups: interstitial fibrosis/tubular atrophy vascular/glomerular sclerosis (n = 79); 2, edematous glomeruli without fibrosis 34). correlations findings statistically analyzed. There significant differences PSV EDV arteries groups 1 2. Both group significantly lower than those 2 (P < .001). There no difference RI > .05). PSV, EDV, main artery (all P .05).The have statistical types dysfunction. seem glomerulopathy fibrosis. Hence, may potentially be used as hemodynamic indicators for monitoring progress transplants.
