The Russulas Described by Charles Horton Peck

ABSTRACT
In this paper, the authors present modern microscopical studies for 28 type specimens of Russula species described by C.H. Peck, thereby completing revision all 44 taxa author and which were available. Our results suggest that with eventual exception R. granulata var. lepiotoides (a likely synonym variety) magnifica polyphylla), other Russulas Peck correspond to well-defined North American taxa. Having been more than one century ago, Peck's names represent majority earliest our revisions are therefore important both nomenclatural aspects, as well typification identification purposes. All studied illustrated in detail accompanied notes including a short recapitulation previous revisions, own re-evalutation their systematic position result study.
