A new natural course of spontaneous twin anemia polycythemia sequence (TAPS) was clarified. 29-year-old woman, who conceived monochorionic diamniotic twins, showed elevation the peak systolic velocity middle cerebral artery (MCA-PSV) in one at 24+2 weeks. The other a decrease MCA-PSV. amniotic volume did not differ between twins. We diagnosed them with TAPS. Four days later, maximum vertical pockets were 19 and 97 mm donor recipient, respectively. twin-twin transfusion syndrome, Quintero...

Fetomaternal hemorrhage (FMH) causes severe neonatal outcomes; however, due to its rarity, risk factors for FMH occurrence and prognostic outcomes remain unclear. Thus, we aimed investigate related outcomes. We included singleton pregnant women from the Japanese nationwide perinatal registry database between 2013 2019. To association characteristics occurrence, conducted multivariable logistic regression model analyses. In addition, employed models evaluate of stillbirth or death among FMH....

A 27-year-old multiparous woman conceived her fetus naturally. Early second-trimester ultrasound showed short extremities with systemic subcutaneous edema. The pregnancy was artificially terminated at 19 weeks of gestation because the abnormalities based on parents' wishes. parents desired whole-exome sequencing to detect a causative gene using umbilical cord and saliva. Compound heterozygous variants (NC_000003.11(NM_052989.3):c.230 T > G/NC_000003.11(NM_052985.4):c.1178A T) were...

Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) is associated with several symptoms; of those, visual acuity loss, light oversensitivity (photophobia), and flashes (photopsia) are known as PRES-related eye symptoms. We report a post-partum woman PRES hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes, low platelets (HELLP), in whom color vision abnormality (achromatopsia) was the sole manifestation. Cesarean section performed at 28 weeks due to headache, epigastralgia, severe hypertension. HELLP became...

Abstract Takotsubo syndrome (TTS) patients show transient ventricular dysfunction without coronary artery stenosis. We report a pregnant woman with TTS occurring concomitantly severe pre‐eclampsia (PE). A primiparous complained of dyspnea at 35 weeks gestation. She showed PE, and cardiac ultrasound identified akinesis the anterior lower wall. On same day, emergent cesarean section was performed due to nonreassuring fetus status, yielding male infant an umbilical pH 6.851. Unfortunately,...
