This paper presents materials, device designs, and physical/electrical characteristics of a form nanotube electronics that is physically transient, in the sense all constituent elements dissolve and/or disperse upon immersion into water. Studies contact effects illustrate ability to use water soluble metals such as magnesium for source/drain contacts based field effect transistors. High mobilities on/off ratios transistors molybdenum, silicon nitride, oxide enable full swing inverters at low...

We present the experimental results and theoretical model describing new adsorption kinetics of single-walled carbon nanotubes (swCNTs) onto self-assembled monolayer (SAM) including their sliding motion. The behavior swCNTs on large-size SAM patterns is similar to Langmuir isotherm, while that nanoscale shows a significant deviation which can be explained by motion adsorbed nanotubes. “sliding chamber” experiment confirms align along right above surfaces. This result provides scientific...

Self-assembled monolayer (SAM) patterns on electrodes are often utilized to guide the assembly of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) onto form desired device structures. In this case, SWCNTs in contact with through SAM which comprises molecular wires. Presumably, it is desirable use conjugated wires for a low resistance because they have been reported as better electric conductor than non-conjugated ones. However, until now, directed-assembly has driven mostly via alkane backbones known...
