Abstract Succinate‐ubiquinone oxidoreductase (SQR, EC 1.3.5.1), also known as mitochondrial respiratory complex II or succinate dehydrogenase (SDH), catalyzes the oxidation of to fumarate part tricarboxylic acid cycle. SQR has been identified a novel target large family agricultural fungicides. However, detailed mechanism action between fungicides and is still unclear, bioactive conformation in binding pocket not identified. In this study, kinetics porcine inhibition by ten commercial...

The primary goal of modern wheat breeding is to develop new high-yielding and widely adaptable varieties. We analyzed four yield-related agronomic traits in 502 accessions under normal conditions (NC) drought treatment (DT) over three years. genome-wide association analysis identified 51 nine drought-resistance-related QTL, including 13 for the thousand-grain weight (TGW), 30 grain length (GL), width (GW), five spike (SL) stress tolerance index (STI) QTL wheat. These containing 72 single...

As a representative species of nematodes, Caenorhabditis elegans is an attractive animal model for evaluating ecotoxicological effects and intrinsic mechanisms the stress response in vivo. To acquire better knowledge environmental bisphenol A (BPA), evaluations were conducted using C. on physiological (growth, locomotion behaviors, reproduction), biochemical (lipofuscin accumulation, reactive oxygen production, cell apoptosis), molecular (stress-related gene expression) responses. A series of functionalized 2,5-dihydrofurans were efficiently synthesized via an amine-promoted Petasis borono–Mannich reaction 4-substituted 1,2-oxaborol-2(5H)-ols with salicylaldehydes in high yields. The process, which combines a boronic acid-based Mannich and highly efficient intramolecular SN2 cyclization, provides one-step route toward from simple stable starting materials.

Three new lignan derivatives, conicaols A and B conicaoside, together with seven known compounds were identified from Saussurea conica. Their structures elucidated by spectral methods including 1D 2D NMR techniques. Six 2,3-dibenzylbutyrolactone-type lignans biologically evaluated, two of them, arctigenin matairesinol, showed potent activity to suppress NO production in vitro LPS-activated macrophages SD rat.

Fourteen novel heptafluoroisopropyl-containing benzoylphenylureas were designed and synthesized. Their insecticidal activities against armyworm (Pseudaletia separata Walker) examined compared with the commercial product diflubenzuron. Three compounds (IIi, IIj, IIk) showed excellent effect, their activity resembled that of Compound IIi also nearly same as novaluron on African cotton leafworm (Spodoptera littoralis). Furthermore, results from a field trial indicated 5% EC exhibited similar...
