ABSTRACT
Methanolic extracts of Andrographis paniculata and Aristolochia indica plants were tested for antivenom activity against Daboia russelli venom. Both plant effectively neutralized the D. venom induced lethal activity. About 0.15 mg A. 0.14 able to completely neutralize 2LD 50 Various pharmacological activities including edema, haemorrhagic, coagulant, fibrinolytic phospholipase studied these significantly by both extracts. The above observations confirmed that possess potent snake neutralizing capacity could potentially be used therapeutic purposes in case snakebite envenomation.
