ABSTRACT
This study was conducted to compare the diagnostic accuracy of gallium-68-radiolabeled fibroblast activation protein inhibitor (68Ga-FAPI-04), positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT), and fluorine-18-fluorodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) PET/CT based on peritoneal carcinomatosis (PC) index for detecting metastases various cancer types, evaluate potential benefits FAPI in patients with metastases. This retrospective included 57 between November 2020 December 2021. All underwent 68Ga-FAPI-04 18F-FDG scans within 7 days.Among included, 32 (56.1%) were male median age 54 years (22-86 years). In visual evaluation made from a total 13 quadrants abdominopelvic surfaces, positive findings observed 111 39 by 280 (P<0.001). The maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax) target-to-background ratio (TBR) values PC lesions significantly higher than SUVmax TBR all (SUVmax 6.45 vs 4.1; P<0.001; 14.9 6.8; P<0.001).Gallium-68-FAPI-04 showed superior sensitivity compared both quantitative evaluations PC. Considering low background activity specific values, helped improve accuracy.
