ABSTRACT
Infertility has become a growing public health problem in China. It is important to accurately and easily obtain patient preferences. This study aimed compare stated preference results from the perspective of infertility patients. By assessing validity acceptability both methods, it provides lessons for empirical research practical application. Discrete choice experiments (DCE) profile case best-worst scaling (BWS-2) are methods used identify weigh various criteria affecting order priorities. We conducted face-to-face survey female patients with aged between 20-45 years. The included socio-demographic information, questionnaires completion evaluation questions. Attributes live birth rate, pregnancy degree participation treatment decision making, maternal complications, neonatal complications program cost. Conditional logit models were analyze attribute level weights relative importance was calculated separately. A total 330 valid collected. preferences experiencing quantified through two methods. findings indicated that exhibited options highly effective, minimal side effects, patient-centered, cost-effective. BWS-2 DCE demonstrated high consistency, only slight difference observed ranking individual attributes within importance. In view patients, questions perceived be less challenging comprehend therefore preferred completed. exhibit identical consistent results. context specific questions, selection method or combination must suitable purpose ensure utility gained maximized. Further required corroborate these findings.
