ABSTRACT
Introduction: The functionality and quality of any treatment planning system (TPS) strongly depends on the type Algorithm which is used by it. Obviously, role dose distribution algorithms in calculation prescribed inside tumor modern radiotherapy techniques has more important than past to achieve best clinical outcomes, especially tumors are placed lung or near it like Esophagus cancer. The aim this study evaluate comparison efficiency accuracy two algorithms, Clarkson Superposition using PCRT 3D calculate Three- Dimensional Conformal Radiotherapy (3D-CRT) for cancer cases. Materials Methods: In ten patients with esophageal were planned algorithms. Treatment plan created a photon beam 6 MV. Commercially available PCRT3D version6 (made Spain) Planning was planed patients. For goal compare statistical analysis performed comparing Conformity Index Homogeneity target. Results: maximum value variation between PTV Dmin, Dmax, Dmean 11.7%, 8.3% 0.73%, respectively. deviation observed OAR's consist 8.9% Left 7.14% Right Lung 2.65% Spinal cord. Significant values 9.06% highest Percentage oscillation 6.33%. Conclusion: According because different results driven from planning, significant care should be taken account when calculating plans, due algorithm may influence as well results.
