ABSTRACT
The LHC experiments are designed to detect large amount of physics events produced with a very high rate. Considering the future upgrades, data acquisition rate will become even higher and new computing paradigms must be adopted for fast data-processing: General Purpose Graphics Processing Units (GPGPU) is novel approach based on massive parallel computing. intense computation power provided by (GPU) expected reduce time speed-up low-latency applications used decision taking. In particular, this could hence high-level triggering in complex environments, like typical inner tracking systems multi-purpose at LHC, where number charged particle tracks luminosity upgrade. article we discuss track pattern recognition algorithm Hough Transform, dramatically execution time.
