ABSTRACT
The present study had the objective of comparing lipid profile, nutritional status and body composition adolescents their parents.A cross-sectional was conducted with 120 from 10 to 13 years old, public schools students city Viçosa, Minas Gerais, Brazil respective biological parents (104 mothers 82 fathers). Data collected regarding weight, height, waist hip circumference, fat, triglycerides, total fraction cholesterol. Besides, taking skinfold measurements (bicipital, tricipital, subscapular suprailiac) adolescents; evaluation sexual maturity, excluding those that were in stage 1 according Tanner. statistical treatment includes descriptive analysis, use Student's t-test, Mann Whitney, Pearson Spearman correlation. An Odds Ratio a confidence interval 95%, considering p < 0.05 significant.A positive significant correlation seen for BMI cholesterol between father son; all variables, except fat wait/hip ratio daughter; weight height mother son daughter. Adolescents both hypertriglyceridemia, inadequacies LDL or HDL presented, respectively 19, 20 4 times more chances presenting same alterations.This confirmed differences anthropometric measurements, profile children overweight, eutrophic underweight parents, as well greater chance adolescent an altered when also have presented alteration.
