ABSTRACT
Objective
To evaluate the value of bedside ultrasound-measured antral cross-sectional area (CSA) in diagnosing an empty stomach patients with chronic hepatitis B.
Methods
One hundred and fifty-nine B, aged 18-64 yr, body height>150 cm, weighing 45-110 kg, were enrolled this study. The antero-posterior diameter craniocaudal gastric antrum measured by ultrasound when supine position, CSA was calculated.Gastroscope negative pressure used to suction fluid from at end gastroscopy, volume recorded, ≤0.8 ml/kg defined as standard for stomach.
Results
The cut-off 440 mm2, sensitivity 85.07%, specificity 80.95%, positive predictive 96.61%, 45.95%, coincidence rate 84.52%.
Conclusion
The is mm2 B.
