ABSTRACT
Objective
To investigate the role of HIV-1 envelope protein gp120 in cognitive impairment induced by neuronal damage.
Methods
Western blot and immunofluorescence assay were used to detect microglia activation, inflammatory factor expression damage after treatment. Neuronal neurocognitive performance gp120-transgenic mice evaluated using immunohistochemical staining behavioral analysis, respectively.
Results
In vivo vitro experiments showed that significantly caspase-1 IL-1β, indirectly caused synaptic shortening (P<0.05). Compared with wild-type mice, significant cortical hippocampal glial loss, dendritic disorders.
Conclusions
HIV-1 might cause through activating release involve impairment.
