ABSTRACT
Objective To investigate the roles of Toll-like receptor (TLR) 3 and 9 in herpes zoster (HZ).Methods Venous blood samples were collected from 40 patients with HZ 16 normal human controls. Flow cyometry was used to detect expressions TLR3 TLR9 peripheral mononuclear cells (PBMCs) these subjects. Results The percentages PBMCs expressing significantly higher than controls (both P < 0.01).The expression levels negatively correlated age onset (r =-6.23,-5.88respectively,both 0.01 ),but uncorrelated gender or age. There a significant difference between different groups ( years,40-50 years,> 50 years) (F =3.410,P ),with strongest observed younger years. Conclusion may participate pathogenesis HZ.
