ABSTRACT
Objective To explore the rehabilitation outcome and influencing factors of functional recovery in patients with nontraumatic spinal cord injury (NTSCI). Methods A retrospective analysis was done on 49 cases suffering from NTSCI who recepted therapy December 2014 to November 2016. The main indicator effect Modified Barthel Index (MBI). A total were divided into two groups, effective group (31 cases) ineffective (18 according whether their MBI discharge had beated target setted admission. following factors: ages, gender, causes, level, grade, severity, types paralysis, hospitalization time, sick complications number, admission discharge, operation, early evaluated by Univarite Logistic stepwise regression assess how they influenced outcome. Results After systematically training, apparent improvement, (38.98±24.90) score (56.35±22.69) statistical significance(Z=-4.95, P=0.00), which showed that training can effectively improve patients′ self-care ability daily living. Regression found admission(OR=1.044, P=0.010) time(OR=1.044, P=0.039) a noticeable outcome, while all other factors, such as age, sex, number hadn′t show concrete outcome. Conclusions Patients should have rehabilitation, medical staff MBI, make strict plan efficiency, shorten quality life.
