The American Society of Infectious Diseases (IDSA) published the 2009 guidelines for diagnosis and treatment seasonal influenza, prior to H1N1 influenza pandemic.Since then, new rapid molecular diagnostic assays became available, drugs were approved use, many studies in patients with infection have been conducted.In December 2018, IDSA an update guidelines.This document addresses information regarding testing, chemoprophylaxis antiviral medications, issues related institutional outbreak management influenza.
