ABSTRACT
To investigate the clinicopathological significance of c-kit protein expression in small cell lung cancer (SCLC).c-kit was detected 52 formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded SCLC, 20 non-small (NSCLC) 10 normal tissues by immunohistochemistry with rabbit antibody to human protein.c-kit expressed 61.5% (32/52) primary but negative all samples NSCLC tissues. localized cytoplasm cells. The related tumor size ( P =0.010) prognosis =0.000 1), not sex =0.208), age =1.000) or TNM stage =0.722) SCLC.c-kit may be corresponding SCLC. Since situ detection is more direct than other methods, it helpful diagnosis, targeted therapies interacting signaling pathway prognostic assessment
