ABSTRACT
Objective To investigate the effects of resveratrol on formation intracranial aneurysm (IA) and telomere length in rats. Methods Thirty-six SD rats were randomly divided into control group (n=12), IA (n=12) (n=12). Rats used to construct rat model. According dose 40 mg/kg, was dissolved 2 mL saline given intragastrically rats, every day, no additional operation performed group. After 12 weeks, relative expression telomerase reverse transcriptase (TERT) binding protein-tripeptidase 1 (TPP1) measured by real-time PCR, observed scanning electron microscope after vascular casting. Results There significant difference rate between (75.0% vs 66.7%, P>0.05), but stage Ⅲ significantly lower than that (χ2=4.800, P=0.028). The TERT TPP1 those group(P<0.05). Compared with group, resveratrol had longer higher (P<0.05). Conclusion Resveratrol has effect IA, can inhibit shortening delay progress IA. Key words: Intracranial aneurysm; Resveratrol; Telomere
