ABSTRACT
In the era of virtuality, increasingly ubiquitous technology bears challenge excessive user dependency, also known as addiction. Augmented reality (AR) and virtual (VR) have become integrated into daily life. Although discussions about drawbacks these technologies are abundant, their exploration for solutions is still rare. Thus, using PRISMA methodology, this paper reviewed literature on addiction persuasive technology. After describing key research trends, summed up nine elements interfaces (UIs) that AR VR developers could add to apps make them less addictive. Furthermore, review encourages more a strategy controlling dependency in virtual-physical blended cyberspace.
