Premise of research. Earlier molecular systematic studies revealed that the genus Ligusticum is polyphyletic, with its members allied representatives several other genera in five clades Apiaceae subfamily Apioideae. These included only a small sampling species and putative allies, including those from Hengduan Mountains southwestern China, major distribution center for genus. The proper circumscription genus, placement phylogenetic relationships among hitherto accommodated Ligusticum,...

60 Co) has been used to generate novel mutants of the Basmati rice. In this study rice cultivars; Basmati-370 and Basmati-Pak, were exposed different doses gamma radiations stable along with parents studied for genomic diversity on basis molecular marker (AFLP). Morphological data showed that performed well yield components grain physical parameters whereas, mutant EL-30-2-1 extra long rain trait as compared parent (Basmati-Pak). The genetic variations determined through AFLP revealed a...

Under the framework phylogeny of Apiaceae subfamily Apioideae and through a carefully examination herbarium specimens, taxonomic revision for Pleurospermopsis (a genus originally accepted as monotypic to include P. sikkimensis only representative), is presented. Its circumscription expanded comprise Pleurospermum bicolor (Franch.) Norman ex Pan & Watson. Therefore, new combination J. Zhou Wei proposed with full treatments. An identification key also provided genus.

The genus Pterocyclus Klotzsch, along with many others, constituted the taxonomically complex Pleurospermum s.l. To delimit its circumscription and clarify interspecific relationships, molecular phylogenetic analysis detailed specimen examination were carried out. Its status as an independent was confirmed, four species recognized. wolffianus, synonymous of forrsetii should be restored species. A new taxonomic account for identification key to species, are provided.

The complete chloroplast (cp) genome sequence of Pleurospermum amabile is characterized, and its phylogenetic relationships with related taxa in Apiaceae are revealed. results showed that the cp P. was 155,955 bp length, consisting a large single-copy (LSC) region 85,745bp, small (SSC) 15,562 bp, which were separated by two inverted repeat regions (IRa IRb) 26,324bp, each. In total, 129 genes annotated, comprising 84 protein-coding genes, 37 tRNA 8 rRNA genes. analysis indicated member...
