We have applied mixed valance manganite perovskites as magnetocaloric materials in a magnetic refrigeration device. Relying on exact control of the composition and technique to process into single adjoined pieces, we observed temperature spans above 9 K with two materials. Reasonable correspondence is found between experiments 2D numerical model, using measured properties input.
Camber evolution and stress development during co‐firing of asymmetric bilayer laminates, consisting porous Ce 0.9 Gd 0.1 O 1.95 gadolinium‐doped cerium oxide ( CGO ) La 0.85 Sr 0.15 MnO 3 lanthanum strontium manganate LSM )‐ were investigated. Individual layer shrinkage was measured by optical dilatometer, the uniaxial viscosities determined as a function density using vertical sintering approach. The camber in laminates recorded situ it found to correspond well with one predicted...
The electrochemical conversion of NOx on non-impregnated and BaO-impregnated LSM15-CGO10 (La0.85Sr0.15MnO3–Ce0.9Gd0.1O1.95) porous cell stacks has been investigated, extensive impedance analysis have performed to identify the effect BaO electrode processes. investigation was conducted in temperature range 300–500 °C, a polarisation from 3 V 9 atmospheres containing 1000 ppm NO, NO + 10% O2 O2. On no observed under any investigated conditions. However, impregnation greatly enhanced at 400 °C...
La1-x-ySrxAgyMnO3-δ was synthesized via modified Pechini method. Silver (Ag) incorporated into cathode material for solid oxide fuel cells as a catalyst precursor oxygen reduction reaction. The perovskite single phase formed at 800°C, and the solubility of Ag in crystal lattice up to 5 mol%. single-phase materials revealed thermal stability different oxidizing atmospheres sintering temperature 1050°C. exsolution metallic nanoparticles performed 350–600°C reducing atmosphere. Scanning...
Functionally graded ceramic tapes have been fabricated by a side‐by‐side tape casting technique. This study shows the possibility and describes main principles of adjacent coflow slurries resulting in formation thin plates material. Results showed that small variations solvent binder system concentrations substantial effect on slurry viscosity. Varying these parameters with well‐defined interface area is possible for viscosities above 3500 mPa s at shear rate 3.3 −1 . As it was expected,...
Multi-layered ceramics for electrochemical flue gas purification were fabricated by tape casting and lamination or multi-layer casting. The sintered bodies studied scanning electron microscopy impedance spectroscopy. It was shown that the samples made had a lower resistance than laminated samples. This mainly due to decrease of middle frequency arc, attributed charge transfer close triple phase boundary. cells showed ability oxidize propene both under open circuit voltage when polarized.
Porous cell stacks with composite electrodes of La0.85Sr0.15CoxMn1-xO3-Ce0.9Gd0.1O1.95 were tested for activity toward selective electrochemical reduction NOx to N2 in the presence 10% O2. The produced by tape casting, laminating and sintering backbone structure followed infiltration BaO or La0.85Sr0.15MnO3+δ. an atmosphere 1000 ppm NO NO2 + O2 Ar as reference, temperature range 250 500°C. investigated electrochemically cyclic voltammetry polarization, outlet gas composition was monitored....
A vacuum-tight cell for infrared spectroscopic investigations of extremely corrosive melts, e.g., molten fluorides, has been constructed and tested up to 750 degrees C. The a gold-lined sample chamber diamond window transparent the light. It can be furnished with gold piston that enables recording short-path-length FTIR spectra liquid samples. Solutions Nb(V) in LiF-NaF-KF eutectic (FLINAK) without oxide additions have investigated by Raman spectroscopy. presence NbF7(2-), NbOF5(2-),...
