PIGE is a suitable method for total B and its IC in boron based refractory materials which are important neutron absorbers nuclear power reactors as control or shielding materials.
The present work reports the microscopic details of anatase (A) to rutile (R) phase transformation in a Mn-doped TiO2 system.
Mass fractions of Fe and B as well isotopic compositions are non-destructively simultaneously quantified in ferroboron alloys by external PIGE method using a 3.5 MeV proton beam.
In-house reference standards for isotopic compositions of boron in natural and enriched carbide matrix were prepared using external PIGE methods.
Mass distribution of fission products has been determined in (alpha+232Th) reaction at Elab=36.2 MeV using alpha particles from the cyclotron Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre (VECC), Kolkata. Yields 69 having half-lives range about ~1 min to several days have measured gamma ray spectrometry products. The mass obtained on basis yields shows a clear triple humped structure showing contribution both asymmetric and symmetric modes fission. Comparison experimental with prediction based GEF code,...
