Covid-19 Pandemic leads to medical services for the society all over world. The pandemic influence waste management and specially management. In this study, effect of outbreak on was evaluated via assessing solid generation, composition, status in five hospitals Iran. results indicated that epidemic increased generation average 102.2 % both private public hospitals. addition, ratio infectious studied by an 9 composition 121 compared with before COVID-19 pandemic. Changes plans measurement...

In addition to health consequences, the Covid-19 pandemic has had important effects on environment and lifestyle. Municipal solid waste management faced serious challenges due consequence of pandemic. this study, quantity composition municipal in Tehran were investigated. The international experiences reviewed results used develop a guideline for epidemic conditions adapted local characteristics. showed that changes affected by temporal spatial variation. most change 15.81% was seen at...

Abstract Recycling is known as a solution for cigarette filter management, but this may cause the release of trapped pollutants in it. Cigarette smoke toxins and chemicals that can accumulate recycling leachate. In study, littered filters freshly smoked were recycled resulting leachate was analyzed. The results showed minimum maximum Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) studied leachates 2100 mg/L 11,300 mg/L, respectively. temporal variation quality 74.28%, spatial 314.2%. COD sample 2600–9200 more...

Abstract This study investigated the recycling of freshly-smoked cigarette butts (FCBs) and unsmoked filters (UCFs) into a cellulose acetate (CA) membrane. The both samples were prepared by means combination seven brands, phase inversion method was used to recycle each sample membrane using N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone. efficiency membranes for removal chromium, cadmium, lead from an aqueous solution in forward osmosis reactor investigated. results showed that had smooth surface macrovoids. flux...

Littered waste is one of the ubiquitous problems in urban environments. In this study, environmental pollution was evaluated for first time using a new developed index. The findings indicated that cigarette butts with an average 58% are largest share composition littered waste. addition, numbers wastes throughout study area had spatial variation. According to clean environment index (CEI), entire found be moderate status. However, 40% areas were classified dirty and extremely Comparison...

Population growth and increasing access to medical services have led an increase in the generation of wastes, out which most components are reported be infectious. Medical wastes include generated hospitals, dental clinics, clinical laboratories, other health-related care centres. The aim this study was identify status waste management Iran as a developing country its comparison with neighbouring countries. For purpose, systematic method for selection related articles performed by defining...
