5-Hydroxymethyl-2-furancarboxylic acid (HFCA), a promising biomonomer from renewable resources, was used to synthesize two bio-based plasticizers, namely, hexyl 5-((hexanoyloxy)methyl)-2-furancarboxylate (HHMFC) and dihexyl 5,5′-(oxybis(methylene))bis(furan-2-carboxylate) (DHOBFC). The chemical structures of these prepared plasticizers were confirmed using Fourier transform infrared nuclear magnetic resonance, then, their plasticization effects on poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) also studied. As...

Abstract In this work, we prepared a series of bio‐based poly(butylene adipate‐ co ‐furandicarboxylate) (PBAF) copolyesters with BF segments ranging from 20 to 80 mol% through two‐step polycondensation. Then, their thermal, mechanical, gas barrier, and degradable properties were investigated. With the increase content, glass transition temperatures ( T g ) melting m PBAFs constantly. Besides, PBAF exhibit excellent mechanical performance elongation at break in range 140% 870%. The elastic...

ABSTRACT A series of 1,3,5‐trialkyl‐benzenetricarboxylamides (BTA‐Rs) with different side‐chain lengths n ‐alkyl are synthesized to use as nucleating agents poly (lactic acid) (PLA). Crystallization rate PLA is detailed discussed in nonisothermal melt‐crystallization addition the agents. Among these BTA‐Rs, BTA‐n‐butyl (BTA‐nBu) shows most excellent nucleation ability for PLA. The influences BTA‐nBu on and cold‐crystallization from glassy state, isothermal crystallization, crystalline...

Abstract Dynamic shear in the axial direction of a rotor was vertically superposed on melt flow direction, and its effects rate strength were investigated theoretically. Polypropylene/high‐density polyethylene blends microcellularly foamed with different vibration parameters. The experimental results compared those theoretical analysis, dynamic foamability ultimate cell structure analyzed detail. showed that increased an increase amplitude frequency. enhanced could effectively restrict...

17β-estradiol (E2) is a steroid hormone with low oral bioavailability due to its aqueous solubility (0.2–5 μg mL−1). To improve and thus bioavailability, two co-crystals of E2 isonicotinamide (INA) (1) piperazine (PIP) (2) were successfully designed synthesized their structures determined. In vivo PK studies revealed that 1 possesses improved in an animal model.

With increasing environmental requirements, biodegradable polymers have received widespread attention. Herein, we synthesized a series of poly(butylene diglycolate)s (PBDs), which was novel homopolyester, with number-average molecular weight (Mn) values between 13 and 97 K g·mol–1. The effects Mn on the thermal tensile properties PBDs were comprehensively investigated. glass transition temperature (Tg), melting (Tm), 5% loss (Td,5%) found to be approximately −26.4, 64.0, 336 °C,...

Abstract Poly(lactic acid) (PLA) is known as one of the most promising biodegradable polyesters, while inherent brittleness and insufficient gas barrier performance limit its potential application a film material. Herein, poly[(butylene diglycolate)‐ co ‐furandicarboxylate] (PBDF) with excellent flexibility good properties was synthesized then melt‐blended PLA. Compared neat PLA, elongation at break PLA/PBDF20 blend increased more than 40 times reached over 176.7%. In addition, O 2 , CO H...
