This paper gives a brief report on new 100-Gbps academic backbone network, called SINET5, which started full-scale operations in April 2016. SINET5 has more than 50 routers and forms fully meshed topology by using MPLS-TP systems to provide researchers every Japanese prefecture with access, minimized-latency, SDN-friendly environments. multi-layer, dynamically configurable, performance-tunable platform for wide range of network applications including inter-cloud services. The multi-layer...

This paper describes the architectural design, services, and operation monitoring functions of Science Information NETwork 6 (SINET6), a 400-Gigabit Ethernet-based academic backbone network launched on nationwide scale in April 2022. In response to requirements from universities research institutions, SINET upgraded its world-class speed, improved accessibility, enhanced services security, incorporated 5G mobile functions, strengthened international connectivity. With fully-meshed...

Cloud computing provides more efficient resource utilization and reduced costs for software systems. However, performance assurance of these systems is difficult because the execution environment cannot be precisely specified can change dynamically. This paper presents a new programming paradigm, in which independent from environments. The paradigm called clock driven (CDP). main idea to introduce notion periodic timer, i.e., clock, synchronizing program timing, just like signal used...

Technical verification has been progressing for high efficiency data replication between ITER and the Remote Experimentation Centre (REC) in Japan. Transferring a huge amount of simultaneously to multiple destinations might cause excessive loads network bandwidth on sender so that daisy-chained relay transfer would be considerable solution. This study demonstrates how efficiently could realized next-generation fusion experiments, such as JT-60SA. All LHD were consecutively sent REC through...

The paper proposes a communications service specification description method that reduces the number of message sequence charts (MSCs) designers need to describe. This uses MSCs and rules for generating error-handling procedures. Experimental application proposed shows this hybrid enables specifications target services be described with about 10% fewer than when using only MSCs.

Some techniques and languages which support the design of digital logic have been traditionally presented. In this paper, we propose a new automaton model enables to concisely specify PLCs including delay time-control by introducing two kinds delays. Moreover, develop tool can intelligibly simulate behavior system specified model.
