This paper deals with the multi-degree cyclic single-hoist scheduling problem time window constraints, in which multiple identical parts enter and leave system during each cycle. We propose an analytical mathematical model a branch-and-bound algorithm so as to find sequence of hoist moves that maximises throughput. The implicitly enumerates requires solution specific set linear programming problems (LPPs). Computational results on benchmark instances randomly generated test are presented.

The transition from late gestation to early lactation is the most critical phase of cycle for mammals. Research in rodents has revealed changes clock circadian regulator (CLOCK) gene network expression around parturition. However, their profiles and putative functions during periparturient period ruminants remain be determined. present study aimed investigate pattern CLOCK selected metabolic genes simultaneously mammary gland (MG), liver (LIV), subcutaneous adipose tissue (AT). Seven dairy...

A Clos-network architecture is an attractive alternative for constructing scalable packet switches because of its distributed and modular design. It can be classified according to different buffer (memory) allocation schemes in switching stages. The most studied architectures are the space-space-space (S3) memory-space-memory (MSM) architectures. This paper shows that these two cannot achieve efficient throughput with conventional random dispatching even if fabric itself non-blocking....

Feeding a higher-energy diet by increasing cereal grains at the expense of forage during last 3 to 4 wk prepartum is traditional approach help rumen "adapt" diets fed onset lactation. Increasing grain/concentrate in changes ruminal fermentation and sheep goats elicits marked mRNA expression immune-related genes epithelium. Whether such epithelial systemic levels occur dairy cows when dietary energy content increases fixed level concentrate unknown. Fourteen nonpregnant, nonlactating Holstein...

We present a novel fair queue management algorithm called stochastic RED (StoRED), inspired by the well known queuing and based on random early detection (RED) scheme. By extensive simulations, we show versatility of StoRED in disciplining misbehaving flows achieving adjustable fairness variety applications where there is need to prevent unresponsive from overwhelming others. In another application, can also be invoked improve performance Web traffic reducing probability experiencing packet...

Rapid urbanization in China has potentially caused increasing risks to underground transmission hazardous material (hazmat) pipelines, significantly impacting on public safety. Challenges risk management of hazmat pipelines were analyzed from the aspects dangerous characteristics accidents, harsh situation hidden dangers and rectification difficulties. According data collected authoritative sources, 170 accidents between 2007 2013 investigated statistically. The annual total quantity...

Vehicle lane changing is one of the most important topics in autonomous driving and behavior likely to cause vehicle accidents. In order optimize performance change by controlling speed vehicle, which makes safer, more efficient, eco-friendly, a causal inference-based control framework proposed this study. First, variables affecting efficiency are selected their treatment effects obtained conducting effect analysis refutation analysis. Second, conditional average estimated taking safety...
