A routine multianalytical methodology based on the combination of Optical Microscopy (OM) with instrumental microscopic techniques like Electron Microscope (HR-TEM and SEM) coupled to Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy (EDS), Confocal (CM) Micro-Raman (MRS) provides a powerful approach for research mineralogical composition. Coals from different origins (five continents) composition were selected analysis. The analytical makes use OM select mineral phases associated coal samples subsequent...
The main objective of this study was to evaluate the use construction and demolition waste (CDW) from Passo Fundo region Rio Grande do Sul (RS), Brazil, in development aerated foamed concrete. This had not yet been characterized or even reused. CDW processed (sieved only), characterized, used as an aggregate, completely substituting natural sand. influence granulometry amount foam upon compressive strength, wet dry bulk density, water absorption, air voids concrete blocks were determined....
An improved method for producing high-purity quartz (Qtz) and potassium feldspar (Kfs) concentrates was developed using various chemical reagents. Froth flotation experiments on a Qtz–Kfs mixture showed that could be selectively floated from Kfs in diluted hydrofluoric acid (HF) frother. Similarly, quartz. Recovery rates depended reagent choice, pH levels, HF modifier dosage, conditioning time. High recoveries good grades were achieved both at low levels. Among the five collectors tested,...
