Ammonium citrate was introduced to paper conservation as an additive for what might be called "enhanced" washing, viewed a more powerful brightening agent than washing alone and less aggressive bleaching. We tested its effect on cellulose using two historical papers one filter immersed in solutions of ammonium (pH 5.5; pH 8.5), citric acid 1.8), calcium hydroxide (both at 9.0). One set washed exclusively these solutions, second subsequently received alkaline reserve. determined the CIE...

Abstract This study reports the oil extraction efficiency using Moringa oleifera seed and pressurized propane, new experimental data for phase transition of binary system { n ‐propane + oil}, profile fatty acid compositions extracted oil. During present study, knowledge behaviour proved to be great importance optimize supercritical fluid. project also compares classical Soxhlet method including mathematical modelling kinetic curves extraction. The experiments were performed in temperature...

Abstract This work reports the synthesis of particles based on poly(3‐hydroxybutirate‐co‐3‐hydroxyvalerate) (PHBV) polymer that were impregnated with progesterone. The PHBV obtained by supercritical CO 2 (scCO ) anti‐solvent expansion (SAS). scCO was also used at a high pressure (25 MPa) and moderate temperature (323 K) for impregnation progesterone into different times. In vitro release tests showed half‐time in hydro‐alcoholic medium, samples produced times 2–32 h, 3–5 higher generally...

Abstract This work reports new experimental data for the oxidation degradation of landfill leachate using supercritical water treatment (ScWO) without addition any oxidants. The reduced significantly original concentration pollutant compounds in liquid waste. parameters used to evaluate efficiency (and degradation) were chemical oxygen demand (COD), total organic carbon (TOC), turbidity, colour, and absorbance. experiments conducted a continuous flow reactor built Inconel 625. reactions...

Abstract New data on total organic carbon (TOC) reduction and H 2 production were obtained by using supercritical water oxidation of lactose with without oxidant agents (H O t‐BHP) in a continuous Inconel 625 flow reactor. The reactions carried out at 550 700 °C, 22.5 MPa, 0.025 g/g (2.5 wt%) concentration, feed rate 5 g · min −1 , reaction time 90 min. average yielded 4.5 mol/mol TOC ∼99 %. results this study (SCWO) may be used to generate energy via from dairy industry effluents.

This paper discussed the synthesis of LTA zeolite from Pinheiro clay (PIN) aiming for adsorption CO2. To obtain LTA-PIN zeolite, PIN was submitted to acid treatment, followed by calcination and hydrothermal treatment. These treatments promoted reorganization crystalline structure PIN, leading with 95.79% purity confirmed XRD, SEM, XRF, FTIR results. The performance similar one standard zeolite. CO2 zeolites could be properly described pseudo-second-order kinetic Freundlich isotherm models,...

In this study, we prepared activated carbon using coconut residue (Cocos nucifera L.) and evaluate the potential use of for capture storage dioxide (CO 2 ).Regeneration tests indicated that has a good regenerative capacity maypotentially be used in CO adsorption systems. For example, ability to then release is not significantly affected even after three consecutive adsorption/desorption cycles, regardless temperature tested (either 125, 150 or 180°C).Kinetic studies revealed time required...

Abstract There has always been an interest in the professional communities of libraries, archives and conservation science to find ways estimating rate degradation paper under archival conditions. Previously we reported a number considerations for developing kinetic model based on Whatman no.1 paper. In present research, this was extended 10 different papers validated. Various physical chemical properties acidic, neutral, alkaline were measured, such as degree polymerization (DP), tensile...
