Two novel, neutral and water soluble Pd(II) complexes of formula [Pd(Gly)(Ala)] (1) [Pd(Gly)(Val)] (2) (Gly, Ala, Val are anionic forms glycine, alanine, valine amino acids, respectively) have been synthesized characterized by FT-IR, UV-Vis, 1H-NMR, elemental analysis, molar conductivity measurement. The data revealed that each acid binds to through the nitrogen -NH2 oxygen -COO- groups acts as a bidentate chelate. These assayed against leukemia cells (K562) using MTT method. results...
A mononuclear cadmium(II) complex of formula [Cd(5,5′-dmbipy)2(OAc)2]·2H2O (5,5′-dmbipy = 5,5′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine and OAc acetato ligand) has been synthesized characterized by FT-IR, UV–Vis, 1H-NMR, elemental analysis single-crystal X-ray structure analysis. The molecular the shows a distorted tetragonal antiprism CdN4O4 coordination geometry around cadmium atom, resulting in four nitrogen atoms from two 5,5′-dmbipy ligands oxygen acetate anions. interaction this to FS-DNA (fish sperm...
A new mononuclear ruthenium(II) complex, trans-[Ru(dmb)2(Cl)(EtOH)](PF6) (dmb = 4,4′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine), has been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, spectroscopic techniques single crystal X-ray structure determination. The complex was studied as a precatalyst for the electrocatalytic reduction of CO2 to CO in an acetonitrile solution cyclic voltammetry (CV). catalytic mechanism investigated means quantum chemical calculations gain deeper insight into process reduction....
A series of five new and analogous palladium(II) alkylamine complexes cisplatin derivatives such as cis-[Pd(alkyl-am)2Cl2], where alkyl-am is Ethyl-, Propyl-, Butyl-, Hexyl-, Octyl-amine, have been prepared. They characterized by physicochemical methods FT-IR, 1H-NMR, UV-Vis, conductivity measurements elemental analysis. These synthesized metal were screened for their in-vitro antitumor activity against human MOLT-4 cells. Only [Pd(Octyl-am)2Cl2] showed moderate activity. also tested some...
Abstract A pair of isomeric and unreported complexes, [Pd(daf)(Leu)]Cl (I) [Pd(daf)(Ile)]Cl (II) (daf, Leu Ile are dafone, leucine isoleucine respectively) have been prepared characterized. They showed in-vitro cytotoxic activities against MCF-7 HCT-116 cancer cells much higher than a well known anticancer drug i.e. carboplatin. In-detail interaction these agents with calf thymus DNA (CT-DNA) bovine serum albumin (BSA) investigated by fluorescence, electronic absorption, circular dichroism,...
Two novel palladium(II)–amino acid complexes, [Pd(Ala)2]·H2O (PA) and [Pd(Val)2].H2O (PV) (Ala = alanine; Val valine) were synthesized characterized through FTIR, UV/Vis, 1H-NMR spectroscopies, CHN analysis, X-ray crystallography molar conductivity measurement. Furthermore, cytotoxicity of Pd(II) complexes against human leukemia cancer cell line, MOLT4 showed promising death (CC50 0.71 ± 0.046 µM for PA; CC50 0.85 0.063 PV) that less than cisplatin (1.59 0.25 µM). Moreover, the interaction...
A novel series of Pd(II) complexes, [Pd(alkyl-amine)2(phen)](NO3)2, I-V, (where alkylamine is ethyl-, propyl-, butyl-, hexyl- and octyl-amine phen 1,10-phenanthroline) were synthesized characterized based on FT-IR, 1H NMR, COSY-NMR, UV-Vis, molar conductivity, elemental analysis density functional theory (DFT) approaches. The group, was screened for their primary in-vitro cytotoxic action against human cancer cell line MOLT-4, showing promising anti-tumor activities. Their interaction...
In this study, four Co(III)-, Cu(II)-, Zn(II)- and Pd(II)-based potent antibacterial complexes of formula K3[Co(ox)3]·3H2O (I), [Cu(phen)2Cl]Cl·6.5H2O (II), [Zn(phen)3]Cl2 (III) [Pd(phen)2](NO3)2 (IV) (where ox is oxalato phen 1,10-phenanthroline) were synthesized. They characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductivity measurements, UV-vis, Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR) techniques. These metal ordered in three combination series I+II,...
