It is proposed to develop a multiview framework perform stereocorrelation by resorting isogeometric descriptions of the observed three-dimensional surfaces. Once surfaces have been reconstructed, corresponding displacement fields are measured within same space. These subsequently utilized update analyses calibrate elastic properties in tensile experiment. An alternative route consists preforming such an integrated framework.
A numerical approach was implemented to precisely stitch together images from the same projector/camera that form a mosaic by regularly moving either or scene/sample. Such an imaging is used, for example, in automated microscopy. The presence of optical distortions can lead detrimental blurring artifacts overlaps. present development identifies and corrects non-affine distortion functions using gray-level conservation equation on reduced overlapping regions adjacent with sub-pixel accuracy....
Abstract The paper is a preliminary report on glass fiber and flake orientation in the weldline zone of injection molded reinforced polypropylene. Two types weldlines were studied using simple shape molds: one where two melt streams meet head‐on become immobilized, other formation followed by additional flow. In first type, which are characteristic current standard molds used to test strength, anisometric particles almost perfectly oriented perpendicular As result, this type tend be weak...
Thermal shocks are applied to a 304L austenitic stainless steel plate with pulsed laser. A stroboscopic reconstruction is used for infrared (IR) and visible light camera measurements. The displacement fields measured digital image correlation (DIC) technique. Different IR devices measure the temperature variations (i.e. medium wave short pyrometry). Several ways of determining emissivity or absorptivity discussed. complete 3D thermal loading numerically determined by minimising difference...
In order to characterize the mechanical behavior of a reinforced concrete beam–column joint, an experiment is designed whereby different histories increasing cyclic loads are applied, and structure deformation (as well as morphology apparent surface cracks) studied using multi-view correlation. The complex three-dimensional geometry slender nature beam column call for numerous digital cameras were positioned around specimen. Assessing feasibility image acquisition estimating priori...
Abstract Even though the simulations used to describe failure of laminates are becoming more and predictive, complex testing under multiaxial loadings is still required validate design structural parts in a wide range industrial domains. It thus essential assess actual boundary conditions allow for an objective comparison between calculations, particular since tests often leads buckling. Therefore, accurate estimation force moment fluxes applied specimen critical. In this context, stereo...
In this paper, we present an overview of a proposed collaboration between the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) European Agency (ESA), which is designed to facilitate introduction commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) radios for smart-sensing applications into international spaceflight programs projects. The work will produce test hardware reference designs, software architectures example implementations, plans in environments, results, all be shared agencies documented future...
Abstract Even though the simulations used to predict failure are becoming increasingly predictive, complex multiaxial loading tests still required validate design of structural components in a wide range industries. Large specimen testing often requires two different scales. A global Far Field obtain boundary conditions and local Near evaluate strain gradients around discontinuities such as bolts, notches… The main goal this study is provide continuous displacement over whole surface...
