Along with serving as drug delivery sensors and flexible devices, hydrogels are playing pioneering roles in water purification. Both chemical radiation methods can produce hydrogels, the latter method gaining preference for its pure adducts. The treatment process entails removal of heavy toxic metals (above threshold amount), dyes, solid wastes from industrial effluents, seawater, groundwater, well sterilization microorganism destruction. This review analyzed different types produced by...
Several kinds of acrylic-acid-grafted-starch (starch/AAc) hydrogels were prepared at room temperature (27°C) by applying 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 kGy gamma radiation to 15% AAc aqueous solutions containing 7.5, starch. With increment the dose, gel fraction became higher attained maximum (96.5%) 15 kGy, above which got lowered. On other hand, monotonically increased with starch content. Swelling ratios lower for starch/AAc gamma-ray doses so larger contents. Significant promotions swelling...
ABSTRACT Pectin‐[(3‐acrylamidopropyl) trimethylammonium chloride‐ co ‐acrylic acid] hydrogel has been prepared from the aqueous blend solution of pectin, (3‐acrylamidopropyl) chloride (APTAC), and acrylic acid (AAc) by applying gamma radiation different doses (1–25 kGy) 60 Co source. The hydrogels were characterized equilibrium swelling, Fourier transform infrared, differential scanning calorimetry, electron microscopy. used in multielement adsorption it was found that pectin‐(APTAC‐ ‐AAc)...
The objective of the work is to synthesize pectin-N, N-Dimethylacrylamide (DMAA) hydrogel by gamma radiation without using any initiators and cross-linking agents. Effect doses on gel fraction equilibrium swelling as a function pH were studied, 5 kGy dose was found be optimum for synthesis. grafting /crosslinking investigated Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Thermal properties surface morphology studied differential scanning calorimetry electron microscopy. To study drug release...
The gamma radiation technique is simple and time-saving for the synthesis of pure hydrogels. present work focuses on synthesizing characterizing Diallyldimethylammonium Chloride-Acrylic acid-(3-Acrylamidopropyl) trimethylammonium Chloride (DADMAC-AAc-APTAC) superabsorbent hydrogels were synthesized by applying different doses (2 kGy to 30 kGy) two compositions monomers. equilibrium swelling was found be 33483.48% dried gel a 1:0.5:1 composition ratio monomers at 2 dose. Therefore, basis...
Gamma radiation technique for the preparation of pure hydrogels is gaining popularity worldwide. Superabsorbent play vital roles in different fields application. The present work mainly focuses on and characterization 2,3-Dimethylacrylic acid-(2-Acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propane sulfonic acid) (DMAA-AMPSA) superabsorbent hydrogel by applying gamma optimization proper dose. To prepare DMAA-AMPSA hydrogel, doses ranging from 2 kGy to 30 were imparted blend aqueous solution monomers. equilibrium...
A few drugs need non-aqueous gels for release in the specific region of intestine. The present work focuses on preparing N,N-Dimethyl acrylamide-Diallyl Maleate (DMAA-DAM) gel Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) solvent by applying different doses gamma radiation and then characterization. blend solution 10%: 10%—DMAA: DAM was prepared DMSO irradiated at 2, 5, 10, 20, 30 kGy from Co-60 source. After extraction, it observed that all yielded more than 95% content. best content found 10 dose, which 97%....
Abstract Removal of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) from raw biogas is essential for feeding the refined gas with high methane (CH4) content in engines and combustion units. In small-scale farmhouses power plants, a cheap, inexpensive, facile desulfurization process needed. Herein, by treating Fe2O3 nanoscaled Ferrosoferric oxide (FeF) suspension presented. The treatment includes both chemical reaction physical adsorption phenomena. With variable pH duration, efficient was achieved. optimum H2S...
Hexanediamine (HA) was incorporated in rGO-platinum (Pt) matrices to obtain HA-rGO-Pt with an improved molecular migration track. The could detect very low concentrations uric acid as the migrate through layers of rGO.
