This research aims to optimize the silk and wool dyeing process using natural dyes from Bixa orellana (annatto) through response surface methodology. Central composite design experiments highlight significant enhancement of color outcomes achieved microwave treatment. For silk, optimal conditions (80 °C for 40 min) with annatto extract yield a strength (K/S) 17.8588, while achieves K/S 7.5329. Introducing eco-friendly bio-mordants, such as pomegranate peel red sumac tannins, enhances...

Natural products with therapeutic nature are nowadays warmly welcomed in textiles. Current study is concerned isolation of tannin from neem bark (Azadirachta indica) and its application onto silk fabric. For improvement shades, chemical & bio-mordants have been employed at optimal dyeing conditions. It found that methanolic extract pH 5 obtained 8 g dye powder after US Treatment for 30 min has given high color strength if used to irradiated 65 75 °C. Bio-mordanting using herbal plants...

The role of radiations in textile processing is gaining attention due to its low cost, energy effectiveness and eco-friendly process. This study concerned with the improvement modulation microwave assisted vat dyeing cellulosic fiber. It was found that radiation treatment both cotton fabric dye solution for 1 min gives good color strength, while redox reaction, 2.5 g NaHSO3, 2 mL CH3COOH, 1.5 H2O2 are optimized conditions which show it a cost-effective tool. Good strength obtained at 65 °C h...
