The Kuznetsk Basin (Kuzbass) is one of the largest coal basins in Siberia and a reference area for ancient Angaraland continent. proximity Kuzbass Siberian Platform caused their biotic similarities Late Palaeozoic. However, due to biota endemism, Upper Palaeozoic does not correlate directly with International Chronostratigraphic Chart (ICC). This paper discusses radioisotopic (CA-ID-TIMS) dating zircons from volcanic tuff located Starokuznetsk Formation (Fm). level matches interval...
Tonsteins, predominantly solid kaolinite clay interbeds, are widespread in the coals of Kuznetsk Basin and usually contain idiomorphic zircon grains magmatic origin quantities suitable for uranium-lead (U-Pb) radiometric dating. For first time, tonstein zircons from coal seam 78 Tailugan Formation (Fm) dated by two methods: Laser Ablation Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) Chemical Abrasion Isotope-Dilution Thermal Ionization (CA-ID-TIMS). The CA-ID-TIMS datings 257.0 ±...
This study presents the first U-Pb (CA-ID-TIMS) radioisotopic dating of zircon grains extracted from tonsteins (altered volcanic ashfalls) within uppermost Permian coal interval Minusinsk Coal Basin (Siberia, Russia). Petrographic, structural, and mineralogical analyses confirm ash origin tonsteins. The parent pyroclastic material is identified as rhyolite-pantellerite for tonstein I-22 dacite-rhyodacite I-12. Morphological analysis crystals, along with cathodoluminescence melt inclusion...

This article discusses the Late Kungurian radioisotopic age (276.9 ± 0.4 Ma) of middle part Starokuznetsk Formation (Kuznetsk Subgroup, Kolchugino Group) Kuznetsk Basin determined by chemical abrasion–isotope dilution–thermal ionization mass spectrometry (CA-ID-TIMS). The analysis biostratigraphic data confirms that layer dated belongs to interval in which Balakhonka Flora (cordaitoid) was replaced (fern-pteridosperm-cordaitoid). indicates change from low latitudes Angaraland took place...

 The presents...
