WRKY transcription factors and mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) cascades have been shown to play pivotal roles in the regulation of plant defense responses. We previously reported that OsWRKY53-overexpressing rice plants showed enhanced resistance blast fungus. In this study, we identified OsWRKY53 as a substrate OsMPK3/OsMPK6, components fungal PAMP-responsive MAPK cascade rice, analyzed effect phosphorylation on basal responses virulence race fungus Magnaporthe oryzae strain...

Although the incidence of stomach cancer in Japan has decreased only slightly, mortality markedly. The main reason for this success is early diagnosis cancer, to which mass survey contributed. From 1964 1985,290,914 screening examinations were done at Mass Survey Center Cancer Institute Hospital, Tokyo. In 474 people (0.16%) was detected, and those, 52% an stage disease. For group, 5-year survival rate 80%, 10-year 78.5%. outpatient group rates 56.2% 55.1% 5 10 years, respectively. This...

OsWRKY53, a chitin oligosaccharide elicitor-responsive rice WRKY gene, has been found to be involved in defense responses rice. We identified three tandem W-box elements, putative recognition sites for transcription factors, as cis elements that are essential the elicitor-responsiveness of OsWRKY53 by deletion and mutation analysis promoter dual luciferase assay.

The preoperative diagnosis of cecal volvulus (CV) is rare and difficult emergent laparotomy frequently performed. Here, we report a case CV that was diagnosed by computed tomography in patient with an intellectual disability. In addition, demonstrate elective laparoscopic cecopexy can be performed following conservative treatment, such as the use ileus tube per anus.

Abstract Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor (IMT) is an intermediate malignancy with myofibroblast proliferation and inflammatory cell infiltration malignant potential. Primary IMTs are predominantly reported in the lungs, while gastric very rare. Therefore, no guidelines exist for diagnosis treatment of IMTs. The present case a 39‐year‐old man diagnosed asymptomatic submucosal tumor. Considering tumor, we selected non‐exposed endoscopic wall‐inversion surgery as resection method...

The human mass balance of [14 C]Z-215, a novel proton pump inhibitor, was characterised in six healthy male volunteers following single oral administration C]Z-215 (20 mg, 3.7 MBq) to determine the elimination pathway Z-215 and distribution its metabolites plasma, urine, faeces (NCT02618629). rapidly absorbed, with Cmax 434 ng/mL at 0.38 h for 732 ng eq./mL 0.5 total radioactivity. Means 59.61% 31.36% administered radioactive dose were excreted urine faeces, respectively, within 168...

Juvenile polyposis syndrome (JPS) is an autosomal dominant, inherited disorder caused by pathogenic germline variants of mainly SMAD4 or BMPR1A genes. Some patients with JPS, especially variants, also develop hereditary, hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT). HHT dominant disorder. Herein, we identified a novel variant the in Japanese family JPS and HHT. A six-base pair deletion gene (NM_005359.6:c.1495_1500delTGCATA) was patients. Two amino acids are deleted from protein (p.Cys499_Ile500del),...

Background: microRNAs (miRNAs) are short noncoding 21-24 nucleotide sequences that inhibits protein synthesis by targeting messenger RNAs in a sequence specific manner. It has been known gene translational silencing miRNAs regulates various inflammatory responses. In the present study, we clarified involvment of acute liver graft rejection DA to Lewis rat orthotopic transplantation. Method: Orthotopic transplantation was performed from (RT1a) (RT1l) rats without immunosspression. We studied...

The impact of clinical response to taxanes plus ramucirumab (RAM) on overall survival (OS) has not been clarified for advanced gastric cancer (AGC), although this type therapy is already in use as second-line chemotherapy (CTx). This study aimed investigate the prognostic AGC patients. This included patients treated with paclitaxel (PTX) or nab-paclitaxel (nab-PTX) and RAM. A retrospective analysis rates consecutive medical records was performed.Forty-two were enrolled. Median...
