In photovoltaic systems, dc-dc converters have been identified as one of the most critical and challenging subsystem in terms failure rate. Thus, this paper proposes fault-tolerant operation a two-stage buck/buck-boost converter under open-circuit switch failure. Remedial actions are efficient any two switches converter. Here, new unified approach is considered, for overall stages The circuit we propose lies on performing redundancy by implementing equivalent synchronous main stages, offline...
Increased life expectancy in most countries is a result of continuous improvements at all levels, starting from medicine and public health services, environmental personal hygiene to the use advanced technologies by healthcare providers. Despite these significant improvements, especially technological level last few decades, overall access services medical facilities worldwide not equally distributed. Indeed, end beneficiary on daily basis are mostly residents big cities, whereas rural...
The goal of this work was to synthesize and characterize ternary rubber blends based on polyisoprene (natural (NR)), polybutadiene (BR), styrene–butadiene (SBR) (NR/BR/SBR = 25/25/50) reinforced with different loading silica (SiO 2 ) nanoparticles (0–100 part per hundred parts (phr)). specimens were subjected thermooxidative aging at 100°C, for two times: 72 168 h, respectively, then mechanically stretched fracture by tension a Zwick 1425 (Zwick GmbH, Ulm, Germany) universal tensile testing...
In this paper, we propose a hardware-efficient residual recurrent neural network for real-time video super-resolution (VSR) based on field programmable gate array (FPGA). Although recent learning-based VSR methods have achieved remarkable performance, the large computational complexity prohibits deployment of sophisticated models FPGA applications. Limited by hardware resources, state-of-the-art FPGA-based perform single-image over sequence and suffer from temporal inconsistency. order to...
Energy harvesting has become a promising and alternative solution to conventional energy generation patterns overcome the problem of supplying autonomous electrical systems. More particularly, thermal technologies have drawn major interest in both research industry. Thermoelectric Generators (TEGs) can be used two different operating conditions, under constant temperature gradient or heat flow. The commonly TEG model, based on voltage source series with an resistance, shows its limitations...
In this paper, we present a new deadlock-free fault-tolerant adaptive routing algorithm for the 2D mesh NoC interconnections. The main contribution of is that it allows both, messages in networks incorporating regions not necessarily rectangular, and to all nodes which are completely blocked by faulty nodes. proposed based on modified turn model well known XY algorithm. We detail basic principle algorithm, prove its deadlock freeness, feasibility efficiency through simulation results.
In this article, we present CuNoC, a new paradigm for intercommunication between modules dynamically placed on chip FPGA-based reconfigurable devices. The CuNoC is based scalable communication unit called CU which allows the simultaneous several processing elements chip. We basic concept of approach, its main advantages and drawbacks with regards to other NoC approaches already proposed.
Self-organizing feature maps (SOMs) are commonly used technique for clustering and data dimensionality reduction in many application fields. Indeed, their inherent property of topology preservation unsupervised learning processed without any prior knowledge put them the front candidates Internet Things (IoT) big (BD) technologies. However, high computational cost SOMs limits use to offline approaches makes online real-time high-performance SOM processing more challenging mostly reserved...
Facial Expression Recognition (FER) systems have many applications such as human behavior understanding, machine interface, video games and health monitoring. The main advantage of the traditional white box methods is their explainability. However, accuracy recognition these completely reliant on extracted features. On other hand, use deep neural networks has regarding overall precision compared to methods. Indeed, they are considered black thus suffer from lack reliability In this work, we...
In this paper, we propose a hardware preemptive multitasking mechanism which uses scan-path register structure and allows identifying the total task's size for FPGA-based reconfigurable systems. The main objective of is to suspend task having low priority, replace it by high-priority restart them at another time (and/or from area FPGA in designs). advantages proposed method are that provides an attractive way context saving restoring without freezing other tasks during pre-emption phases...
Networks on chip (NoCs) present viable interconnection architectures which are especially characterized by high level of parallelism, performances and scalability. The already proposed NoC in literature mostly destined to system-on-chip (SoCs) designs. For a FPGA-based reconfigurable system, the NoCs not suitable. In this paper, we new high-performance approach for system. Our is based scalable communication unit its particularly architecture, an arbitration policy priority-to-the-right rule...
This paper presents the simultaneous Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) and output voltage regulation of a stand-alone Photovoltaic-battery-load power system, based on Single-Switch DC-DC converter. In literature, well-known two-stage buck converter cascaded with buck-boost one is mentioned as most suitable non-isolated for such Photovoltaic (PV) system. Based an unified approach to develop Single-Stage converters, we propose use equivalent Single Switch Converter (SSC) studied PV thus...
Abstract This work aims to find the optimal ratio of recycled rubber (RR) in carbon black (CB)/RR filler and determine its influence on mechanical properties, thermal behavior, activation energy ternary based polyisoprene (natural [NR]), polybutadiene (butadiene [BR]), styrene–butadiene (SBR) with a constant 40/40/20 parts per 100 (phr). The used was N330 (60 phr) mixture CB/RR following proportions: 55/5, 50/10, 40/20 phr. examined samples determined by rheometric method. were subjected...
Numerous advantages offered by Photovoltaic (PV) generation systems coupled with the increasing power demands for clean energy put PV in front of many research works. For stand-alone applications powered systems, reliability conversion stage is essential to ensure continuous supply energy. Therefore, case any failure occurring stage, it mandatory provide remedial actions guarantee service continuity produced electrical power. This paper analyses a two-stage buck/buck-boost converter storage,...
The elastomeric materials based on NR/BR/SBR ternary rubber blend were investigated. polyisoprene (NR), butadiene (BR) and styrene (SBR) rubbers used as network precursors carbon black (CB) an active filler (60 phr) for preparation.
