In the present work thermal conductivity of 29 samples clay bricks was measured and correlations performance with compositional, physical, microstructural features products were investigated. The results obtained directed our attention toward a better understanding role played by some parameters (i.e., mineralogical components pore size distribution), other than bulk density, in improving or depressing insulating properties bricks. Among them, unfavorable quartz, Ca-rich silicates, amorphous...
The high-throughput ceramic industry is exposed, at the global level, to risk of shortage and/or sudden price growth raw materials, particularly Critical Raw Materials (CRMs). goal present study overview dependence on CRMs a sector transforming large amount mineral resources, i.e. manufacturing and its supply chain (wall floor tiles, sanitaryware tableware, frits glazes, pigments inks, so on). For this purpose, critical assessment with expert consultation was carried out quantify demand,...
The traditional ceramics industry uses large amounts of primary mineral raw materials. Improvements in the production building materials based on non-metallic minerals can contribute to sustainable development many ways, such as saving natural resources, using waste materials, reducing energy consumption, decreasing emissions hazardous health and environment, particularly carbon dioxide, reclamation mines after exploitation etc. This paper describes state application with a perspective...
New measurements of the differential collision cross section for Kr + are presented and, together with previously published data, analyzed in terms a Morse---Spline---van der Waals interatomic potential function. By means least-squares fitting procedure is obtained which best describes measurements. This also predicts second virial coefficients and vibrational-level spacings that agree well experiment. Some difficulties arise attempting inversion scattering data this similar systems...
