Abstract Combining common garden experiments with reciprocal transplant or sowing is widely used to assess local adaptation in plants. This approach effectively minimizes the potential influence of maternal environments derived from seed origin. However, impact divergent on assessment has received limited attention previous studies. To investigate effects diverse conditions adaptation, we conducted a 2‐year experiment followed by 5‐year experiment, both carried out at two different...

The fire resistance and residual bearing capacity of prestressed concrete (PC) beams after exposure are very important to the safety engineering applications. This study performed experimental investigations theoretical calculations PC T-beams subjected a standard fire. Effects time, steel strand location, prestress level on failure mode, ductility, bending capacity, stiffness were investigated. working mechanism was determined. With increased ductility decreased significantly mode changed....

Cementitious composites usually work under moisture condition. Presently, the piezoresistivity of cementitious incorporating multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) due to variation was experimentally investigated. The content controlled by drying specimens in an oven. In most cases content, were observed present positive during process cyclic compression. While a specific range, exhibited negative piezoresistivity. whole transition from and then obtained with variation. Moreover, amplitude...

Beamlet transform has been widely used for extracting line features from images, which is an excellent multiscale geometric analysis method. However, it a major drawback that always performs too slowly due to very much redundant computation. In many application fields, the speed of original beamlet almost unbearable. To cure problem, improved by introducing geometrical flow, utilises image semantic information in process generating beamlets. Besides, further up algorithm, interesting factor...

Styrene-butadiene rubber increased the piezoresistivity effect of CB/PC mortar. Both positive and negative occurred in mortars during compression. The mechanism was explained by using both tunneling capacitance effect.

A theoretical model is developed to predict the electrical conductivity of polymer composites containing carbon nanotubes. It incorporates effect two mechanisms, electron hopping between adjacent nanotubes at nanoscale and transmission electrons through conductive networks formed by microscale. Based on model, analytical expressions both piezoresisitivity under stretching are established. The simple in form, without resorting heavy computation, able give accurate estimations for piezoresistivity.
