In this work, the multiferroic bismuth ferrite materials Bi0.9RE0.1FeO3 doped by rare-earth (RE = La, Eu, and Er) elements were obtained solution combustion synthesis. Structure, electrical, magnetic properties of prepared samples investigated X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Mössbauer electrical hysteresis measurement, broadband dielectric SQUID magnetometry. All nanomaterials are characterized spontaneous polarization, which confirmed their ferroelectric properties. Investigation at 300.0...

Nanocomposites combining magnetic and plasmonic properties are very attractive within the field of surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) spectroscopy. Applications presented so far take advantage not only cooperation both components but also synergy (enhanced properties), leading to multi-approach analysis. While many methods were proposed synthesize such plasmonic-magnetic nanoparticles, issue their collective behavior, inducing irreversible self-aggregation, has been addressed yet....

Tiny changes in the covalent structure of a noble-metal-anchored peptide may affect its surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) signature. While SERS spectra Cys-Trp peptides are dominated by bands arising from aromatic Trp side chain, thorough study impact modifications SERS-silent regions concerning such dipeptides was yet to be performed. Thus, here we conduct an extensive series Cys- and Trp-containing dipeptides, varying both main-chain direction (Cys-Trp/Trp-Cys) presence typical at...

In this work we demonstrated the process of co-deposition copper-tin sulfide species by atomic layer deposition (ALD) technique using all-low-cost precursors. For tin species, tin(IV) chloride SnCl4was used successfully for first time in ALD process. Moreover, showed that successful component was conditioned pre-deposition CuSxlayer. The copper and sulfides components at 150 °C resulted in-process formation film containing Cu2SnS3, Cu3SnS4andπ-SnS phases. involving only precursor H2S did not...

Decoding of atomic and ionic radii transition metals in terms energy response against changes electron number external potential variation has been considered. Energy as a functional density by means its derivatives is linked to the detachment process. Employing charge sensitivity analysis electronegativity equalization principle, we interpret electronic structure transformations (electron-following/preceding perspectives) into diameters. Additionally, qualitative associations described...

Three new compounds, namely [HL]2+[CuCl4]2−, [HL]2+[ZnCl4]2−, and [HL]2+[CdCl4]2− (where L: imipramine) were synthesized their physicochemical biological properties thoroughly investigated. All three compounds form isostructural, crystalline systems, which have been studied using Single-Crystal X-ray diffraction analysis (SC-XRD) Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The thermal stability was investigated thermogravimetric (TGA) melting points for all determined. Magnetic...

Cyclic dipeptides with two intramolecular peptide bonds forming a six-membered 2,5-diketopiperazine ring are gaining significant attention due to their biological and chemical properties. Small changes in the local geometry of such molecules (from cis trans) can lead structural differences. This work presents results study cyclo(l-Cys-d-Cys), dipeptide comprising cysteine opposite chiral configurations, functional groups situated at both sides diketopiperazine ring. X-ray diffraction (XRD)...

Vibrational spectroscopy coupled with isotopic labeling provides many insights into dynamic processes within various molecular systems. Here, a newfound utility of surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) as tool to study noble metal-anchored thiol monolayers is demonstrated for pair L-cysteine isotopologues competing bind the surface silver nanoparticles (AgNPs). According our DFT calculations, SERS spectra L-Cys could be sensitive 12C/13C and 14N/15N substitutions, which has been...
