The final goal of the present study was development a 3-D chitosan dressing that would shorten healing time skin wounds by stimulating migration, invasion, and proliferation relevant cutaneous resident cells. Three-dimensional nanofibrillar scaffolds produced electrospinning were compared with evaporated films freeze-dried sponges for their biological properties. structure strongly improved cell adhesion in vitro. When implanted mice, scaffold colonized mesenchymal cells blood vessels....
Seven children with severe, rapidly evolving alopecia areata (AA) were treated pulse steroid therapy (PST). AA had been present for 3–44 weeks and involved more than 30% of the scalp. One patient totalis. Intravenous methylprednisolone (5 mg/kg twice a day) was administered 3 days. No serious side effects noted. At 12-month follow-up, complete regrowth occurred in 5 patients (71%). The totalis no regrowth. PST appears to be promising safe treatment extensive, recent-onset children. response...

ABSTRACT We report the case of a 33‐year‐old patient who had insulin‐dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM) since he was 11 months old, and presented with major perforating necrobiosis lipoidica (PNL) complicated by well‐differentiated epidermoid carcinoma. PNL is rare clinical form NL, always associated diabetes. Only seven cases have been reported to date in literature, best our knowledge, an association carcinoma has never described. The development tumoral transformation on classical NL...
Tufted angioma is a rare acquired cutaneous angiomatous proliferation characterized by slowly spreading erythematous macules and plaques, sometimes surmounted nodular formations. Synonyms are progressive capillary hemangioma Nakagawa's angioblastoma. appears to be benign since follow-up studies did not report malignant transformation. This lesion must distinguished from other vascular tumors, especially Kaposi's sarcoma. If this in an older patient, angiosarcoma should excluded.
Docetaxel (RP 56976 or Taxotere), a semisynthetic drug belonging to the family of taxoids, is new chemotherapeutic agent used in phase II trials for breast, ovarian and lung cancer. Desmoplastic melanoma (DM) is a rare variant of spindle-cell malignant melanoma. DM easily misdiagnosed at an early stage because it can be confused with benign entities. Histological analysis, including careful attention to the presence atypical spindle cells, as well lymphocytic aggregates in abundant fibrotic stroma dermis, provides clues for diagnosis. The adjunction immunohistochemical panel, and particularly testing S-100 protein, needed final
