Two Algal Turf Scrubber (ATS) units were deployed on the Great Wicomico River (GWR) for 22 months to examine role of substrate in increasing algal productivity and nutrient removal. The yearly mean flat ATS screens was 15.4 g · m(-2) d(-1) . This elevated 39.6 with a three-dimensional (3-D) screen, 47.7 by avoiding high summer harvest temperatures. These methods enhanced removal (N, P) biomass 3.5 times. Eighty-six taxa (Ochrophyta [diatoms], Chlorophyta [green algae], Cyan-obacteria...

In amine scrubbing carbon capture, concerns about solvent degradation include whether it can affect the ability of to capture CO2. This study examines interactions between three most reported monoethanolamine (MEA) thermal compounds─namely, oxazolidine-2-one (OZD), N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-ethylenediamine (HEEDA), and N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-imidazoline-2-one (HEIA)─with CO2 in presence absence MEA. We compared 1H NMR, 13C heteronuclear single-quantum coherence (HSQC) NMR for neat OZD, HEEDA, HEIA...
