Background Anxiety and the physical environment are critical factors influencing frailty among older adults; however, interaction effect of anxiety environment, such as outdoor activity spaces, on has not been examined. This study aimed to investigate spaces identify differences by gender. Methods A total 353 nursing home residents (197 women; 156 men; age ≥ 60 years) from 27 Chinese homes were included in analysis. analyzed using Generalized Disorder Scale FRAIL-NH Scale, respectively....
Despite strong evidence associating depression with poor physical function, the underlying mechanisms of this association remain unknown. This study aimed to ascertain whether different types leisure activities mediate effect severity on function. cross-sectional descriptive included 353 Chinese nursing home residents (aged ≥ 60 years; 197 female) from homes five districts (Lixia, Tianqiao, Huaiyin, Shizhong, and Licheng) in Jinan, Shandong Province, China, March June 2018....
Lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) are a challenge to the healthy nursing workforce. Nurses confront various objective and subjective workloads which contribute their LUTS, but less is known about how influence LUTS. This study designed test hypotheses that delayed voiding behaviors mediate relationships between LUTS in female nurses.
(1) Background: Ageism refers to the stereotyping, prejudice, and discrimination against older individuals or groups based on their age. This study investigates modifying role of social support in relationship between depressive symptoms ageism China; (2) Methods: A cross-sectional was performed 21 nursing homes Jinan from March June 2019. The data were analyzed through a multilevel mixed-effects generalized linear model; (3) analysis showed that adults experienced moderate levels ageism....
Aims: This study aimed to identify symptom clusters in a population‐based sample of female nurses who reported experiencing lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) and examine distinct risk factor profiles within each cluster, with an emphasis on modifiable lifestyle work‐related factors. Materials Methods: included 6735 at least one LUTS. Latent class analysis was conducted by jointly modelling 11 symptoms. Analysis variance, chi‐square tests multinomial logistic regression analyses were...
Aims. To estimate the prevalence and bother of lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) work-related individual factors associated with LUTS among a representative sample female nurses. Background. A healthy nursing workforce is essential to advance global health goals, especially during times extraordinary demand for care. frequently occur persist in women are correlated multiple negative outcomes diminished work engagement productivity. However, study nurses failed receive sufficient attention...
To investigate frailty trajectories in nursing home residents, and to test whether chewing difficulty was a significant factor associated with trajectories. This is 1-year prospective cohort study. Data were collected from 27 residents China at baseline, 6 months, 12 months. Latent class growth modeling used identify trajectories. Multilevel multinomial logistic regression the relative risk ratios (RRRs) 95% confidence intervals (CIs) of assessed baseline on trajectories. In total, 269...
Abstract Background Frailty is a major cause of adverse health outcomes, such as hospitalization, falls, disability, and morbidity, among older adults; the elucidation factors affecting frailty trends over time may facilitate development effective interventions. Objectives This study aimed to examine trend (at baseline, 6-month follow-up, 12-month follow-up) Chinese nursing home residents identify associated resident- institutional-level factors. Methods longitudinal included 353 who were...
Abstract The aggressive primary brain tumor glioblastoma (GBM) is characterized by aberrant metabolism that fuels its malignant phenotype. Diverse genetic sub-types of glioma are sensitive to selective inhibition the NAD+ salvage pathway enzyme nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase (NAMPT). However, potential impact depletion on microenvironment has not been elaborated. In addition, systemic toxicity NAMPT remains a significant concern. Here, we show microparticle-mediated intratumoral...
