To assess in vitro antioxidant activity of the essential oil isolated from fresh rhizomes garlic (Allium sativum) family Alliaceae an yield 0.2% (v/w). 2, 2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), Nitrogen oxide scavenging, reducing power and β-carotene bleaching assays were conducted. BHT gallic acid kept as standards. IC50 values observed for DPPH nitric scavenging 0.5 mg/mL 50 μg/mL respectively. In assay absorbance increased linearly with increasing concentration oil, method also there is 84%...
Setaria italica (common name- foxtail, kangni) is one of the major food crops which prominently cultivated in southern regions India and certain Uttar Pradesh. Besides crop's consumption as a general source carbohydrate rich cereal, seeds crop are comprised more fiber. So, it recommended to add dietary supplementation diabetic people across country. In this paper, intends investigate antidiabetic activity antioxidant S. (foxtail millet) rats. The six genotypes foxtail millets (S. italica)...
The Total Phenolic Content (TPC), antioxidant and antibacterial activities of methanolic extract Marigold flower (MF) (Tagetes erecta) Beet root (BR) (Beta vulgaris) were examined. present work reveals that MF contained greater amount TPC (42.5 mg/g GAE) as compared to BR (39.4 GAE). Methanolic exhibited excellent DPPH free radical scavenging power (IC50 0.0716 mg/mL) reducing at 1 mg/mL concentration. Similar results have been obtained in FTC TBA method. test indicated the is significantly...
The present study deals with the in vitro of antioxidant activity essential oil from Palmarosa (Cymbopogon martini) family gramineae. has been done by using DPPH assay, Nitrogen Oxide reducing power β-carotene bleaching assay and FRAP method. IC50 values observed for NO are 0.125 mg/ml 12.5 μg/ml respectively. In beta carotene method showed 93.15% first hour it increased to 51.1% second hour. There was a constant increase activities concentrations both mehods. all methods BHT Gallic acid...

The marine diatom based biodiesel may be the greatest possible options for future energy, particularly India where land resources and freshwater are limited. In above context, an attempt has been made to isolate Odontella aurita from Vellar estuary, South east coast of characterized production. Identification microscopic structure, morphology was succeeding by bright field microscope SEM. present study, effect different Si treatment on growth lipid content confirmed that cell density is...
Background: Setaria italica is an essential crop in the developing world and yield levels are low. To improve yield, utilization of diverse germplasm a breeding program vital. Methods: The present study aimed to characterize 50 genotypes first year out 50, 10 second using multivariant traits. Wide variation was observed both qualitative quantitative characteristics. Analysis variance revealed presence significant differences for most symptoms. Higher estimates GCV were followed grain yields,...
The present work is designed to evaluate the antioxidant, antibacterial activity and (TPC) total phenolic content of Tagetes erecta flowers extracts. Antioxidant potential extracts was examined by applying three different methods. Antibacterial test determined against gram positive negative bacterium. ethyl acetate extract had greater concentration 48.2 mg/g GAE followed methanol which 42.5 hexane 36.4 GAE. found be most effective in all antioxidant methods correlation with TPC value....
The present investigation evaluates the antioxidant and antibacterial activity of essential oils Syzigium aromaticum, Zingiber officinale Cinnamomum Zeylanicum. The hydrogen donating ability two was measured by reduction DPPH potassium ferricyanide. It observed that activities increase proportionately with concentration. The assessed measuring zone inhibition using disc diffusion technique test performed gram negative bacteria Eschericia coli (MCCB 0016), Klebsiella pneumonia (MTCC 2405)...
Certain strains of microalgae known as diatoms were shown, under appropriate conditions, to produce up 60% their cellular mass lipids certain growth conditions. Acetyl-Co-A carboxylase catalyses the first committed step in synthesis fatty acids, i.e., carboxylation acetyl-CoA malonyl-CoA. In present study we have isolated two species marine Odontella aurita and Chaetoceros muelleri from Vellar estuary Parangipettai Southest coast India studied acetyl co-A activity at different Si treatment...
Foxtail millet (Setaria italica L. beauv) is an important crop in underdeveloped countries; however, yield levels are low. The use of varied germplasm a breeding approach critical for increasing productivity. can be cultivated effectively wide range environmental circumstances but it best suited to hot and dry climates. In the current study, multivariant traits were used define 50 genotypes first year 10 second year. phenotypic correlations among all entire assessed, data acquired...
A new glycoside gallic -7-O--D-glucopyranoside has been isolated firsttime from the methanolic extract of Syzygium aromaticum. The structure waselucidated by spectroscopic methods and acid hydrolysis
